Usually at this time of the year the attention turns to the French Open, for Elina Svitolina she reflected on missing the typical clay court Grand Slam.

For Svitolina, like many it has been a happy stomping ground with two Quarter-Finals in 2015 and 2017; but unlike Wimbledon and US Open, she has yet to make the breakthrough into the semi-finals.
"I miss that person who announces your name to go on the court, just before you leave your team and to enter the court," she told Daniela Hantuchova on their official website.
"When they announce you it's very special...you know you have to be in a focused mood...from that moment everything starts."
"Cooking is one of the things I've improved during this time," she revealed; before giving her boyfriend and fellow tennis player Gael Monfils' thoughts on some of the dishes.
"A few of the dishes went to the bin straightaway because he's really tough on me!"
