Svitolina praises Ukrainian players for continuing to play amid war: "The most important thing is that they don't stop"

Elina Svitolina had praise for her fellow countrymen who are keeping their heads high during these tough times and opting to play while their country is at war.

Svitolina spent much of the time since the war broke out at home and away from the courts. It wasn't something she did on purpose, but she was pregnant with her child so playing was out of the question. Her fellow countrymen kept on playing and she had words of praise for their efforts during a tough time for all of them.

She shared a story on her Instagam captioining it:

"Stories of young tennis players who have been living in full-scale war for more than a year...But the most important thing is that they don't stop and continue their way in tennis."
