Swiatek has to learn how to handle pressure according to Radwanska: "She is defending everything, pretty much every single week, so it’s hard"

According to Swiatek's tennis hero Agnieszka Radwanska, the number one player needs to learn how to handle pressure properly because she still struggles in that regard.

This year was always going to be tough for Swiatek after she won so much last year. The Polish player is pretty much defending all big events which is what Radwanska also referenced and learning how to deal with that pressure will ultimately allow her to go about that with success. Speaking after Swiatek's loss to Elena Rybakina, Radwanska said:

“I think she’s going to have a really tough season because of all the pressure from last year. She is defending everything, pretty much every single week, so it’s hard.

"It’s not easy that everybody wants to beat you because you are world No. 1. She really needs to work on how to handle the pressure, that’s the main key. But I think that she’s still going to do great things this year, and she’s just lost against Rybakina, who just won Wimbledon, so it was a tough one."

Swiatek herself described the loss as motivating.
