It has remained fairly rain free during Wimbledon so far with sweltering conditions over the drab scene that can sometimes inhabit the All England Lawn & Tennis Club but with inclement showers planned throughout today, it could be stop start on the outer courts.
Elena Rybakina was at 4-4 in her first set against Clara Tauson. While Belinda Bencic was also interrupted a set up against Elisabetta Cocciaretto, Daria Kasatkina was a set and a break down against Liudmila Samsonova.
Dayana Yastremska was also on the fight back against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. Flavio Cobolli v Jakub Mensik was the only men's match that was in play. The Italian was 6-2, 1-0 up on his Czech opponent.
It has since been confirmed that there will be no play before 1:30pm BST (2:30pm) on the outside courts. Court One will start at 1pm with Mirra Andreeva v Hailey Baptiste. While Centre Court sees Jannik Sinner v Pedro Martinez open proceedings up.
But so far it is very much rain is the matter of the day and one that could play havoc with finalising the Last 16 line-up later today.
