Iga Swiatek has joined
Serena Williams, Steffi Graff and Martina Hingis as a player with 50 weeks as the best-ranked player in the world.
Swiatek became number one last year after Ashleigh Barty left the sport but she proved her ranking on the court plenty of times. Winning 30+ matches in a row doesn't happen often and she was able to do that proving herself as by far the best player on Tour. This week marks the 50th week that she is number one in the world as she joined a host of amazing players that did it in the past.
Players like Serena Williams, Steffi Graff and Hingis did that in the past and she's now joined them. Graff is the player that holds the record for most weeks as world number one with the record for most consecutive weeks as number one held jointly by Graff and Williams. She's still far ahead of Aryna Sabalenka in the rankings so she'll stay number one for a while.
