"The girl is on fire" - Kvitova on Caroline Garcia

Petra Kvitova lost to Caroline Garcia in the Western & Southern Open final and after the final, she could only compliment her.

Garcia has been truly on a tear lately winning three trophies in the last two months of action. The French player is back into the top 20 after being ranked inside the top 10 in 2017. She's also a 3x Premier event champion having won her 3rd on Sunday along with Wuhan and Beijing in 2017.

After their match, Kvitova had only praise for her opponent:

"She played very very well and Caroline she was down she just served aces. That's how it should be, how the champions are doing it and I just didn't do it today so I think she deserved the win."

Kvitova also remembered a song playing in the background as the stage was set for the ceremony with lyrics going 'this girl is on fire' and Kvitova thought it aws a great description:

"When we finished the match, there was a going 'this girl is on fire' and yeah that is the best description of her".
