The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is complete with Elena Rybakina crowned the champion. The Kazakh claims a third title of the season in a big boost ahead of defending Rome final prize money in the coming weeks.
Rybakina defeated Marta Kostyuk in the final 6-2, 6-2 in a pretty rampant display from the World No.4. After reaching the final in Miami and losing to an inspired Danielle Collins, she wasn’t to be denied this time around.
She looked towards her best last year before Roland Garros as illness struck and she wasn’t the same again for some time. She has also battled issues recently but is very much back to her best on clay in a real confidence boost ahead of Rome and Madrid.
It was two mirroring sets for Rybakina who took breaks at 1-0 and 5-2 in both sets and looked imperious throughout. Until the second set, she didn’t face a break point and she takes over the mantle of the queen of Stuttgart. There is only one caveat, she doesn’t have a drivers license for her new Porsche.
