Former world number one Venus
Williams is expanding her interior design business after getting a new contract
in Virginia.
The 43-year-old has a business
with the name of V Starr Interiors that
has been around for a while.
Venus, in a post on the social media
platform Instagram, shared an update about how her business is now expanding in
Virginia.
The news will be a positive one
for Venus who has had a tough outing ever since returning to court in the
recent past.
The California-born played in two
out of the four Grand Slams this and in both events, she was knocked out from
the first round.
At Wimbledon, Venus lost to Elina
Mykhailivna Svitolina of Ukraine in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
In the fourth and final Grand Slam
of the year, the current world number 411 lost to Belgium’s Greet Minnen in
straight sets with a score of 6-1, 6-1.
Venus is a seven-time Grand Slam
winner. Her most successful competition has been Wimbledon where she lifted the
title five times.
Her most recent triumph at a major
event came way back in 2008 where she defeated her sister Serena in the final
with a score of 7-5, 6-4.
