A torrid week for
Aryna Sabalenka was confounded in a bit of an error fest for the World Number Two as she slumped to defeat against Anhelina Kalinina at the 2024
Miami Open with the Ukrainian sealing a second career top five win 6-4, 1-6, 6-1.
Sabalenka who played this week despite the passing of her ex-boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov as expected cut a forlorn figure, but also a frustrated one. At the end of the match with no handshake present of course due to the stance of Ukrainians, Sabalenka decided to obliterate her racquet.
An overall bad night at the office for the World Number Two who will now look to regroup ahead of the clay court season with the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart next up.
