Former World No.1
Victoria Azarenka warmed the hearts of many fans following her first round win at the
Libema Open s-Hertogenbosch, due to her interaction with her son and some spectators at the event.
Azarenka recorded a 7-6(7-5) 6-3 victory over qualifier Natalija Stevanovic, saving five set points in the first set as she rallied to escape with the win. As is tradition, the Belarusian attempted to hit a few balls into the crowd after her win, but chose to enlist the help of her five-year old son, Leo.
Azarenka brought Leo onto the court, and tossed a few balls towards her son. The five-year old proceeded to hit them towards the spectators, giving them not only physical memorabilia from the event but also a pleasant memory.
