A special send-off for Carla 🥺💜 🎥: @BJKCup | @CarlaSuarezNava
It's been a very good career for Carla Suarez Navarro who will officially retire after this season concludes. The 33-year old Spaniard has won two singles titles in her career while playing numerous quarterfinals at grand slams events (7). She also added three trophies in doubles reaching a peak ranking of 6th in singles and 11th in doubles.
The Spaniard won the biggest match of her career last year after beating cancer and in 2021 she returned to the courts in order to say goodbye to the game she loves in a proper manner. Even during her battle she always underlined that she would return and say goodbye on the court. She was able to do that and after her final matches, she was given a proper send-off at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
