In a rather bizarre encounter,
Daria Kasatkina stopped her match against Aryna Sabalenka to complain to the umpire about the loudspeakers at the 2023
Cincinnati Open.
The Russian was visibly frustrated during her clash against Sabalenka, as the match was disrupted by loudspeakers that could be heard during play.
Kasatkina is not the only player complaining about the loudspeakers
German tennis star Alexander Zverev also expressed his discontent with the loudspeaker interruptions during matches at the Cincinnati Open. The former World No.2 heard ranting to the chair umpire and looked visibly frustrated at hearing loud music from other courts while trying to serve in his second round match against Yoshihito Nishioka.
Despite her complaints and the efforts to turn down the loudspeaker volume, Kasatkina would end up losing in straight sets to Sabalenka.
