Former tennis players Rennae Stubbs and Billie Jean King
surprised rising players by giving them some useful tips.
The two former players did that during the US Open 2023
where they joined youngsters on the Courtside who are inspiring to play the
sport at the highest level.
Both Stubbs and King gave them some valuable tips during the
meetup which might go a long way in helping them in achieving their dreams.
The fourth and final Grand Slam of the year is moving
towards its conclusion with women’s and men’s singles category finals set to
take place on Saturday and Sunday.
Stubbs did not have a great record while playing in the
singles category but won four doubles and two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles.
On the other hand, Jean King had a fabulous record while
playing at the highest level in the single category. She ended up winning 12
Grand Slam titles in her career and also claimed the top-spot in the WTA
rankings in 1966.
Her most successful competition was Wimbledon where she
ended up lifting the title six times — 1966, 1967, 1968, 1972, 1973, 1975.
