Marketa
Vondrousova was seen training and signing autographs during the
US Open Fan
Week, and a Twitter user uploaded photos of her new tattoos that she got after
Wimbledon.
The Czech
player made history by winning the Wimbledon title as an unseeded player,
becoming the first non-seeded player to claim the trophy. She entered the
tournament ranked world No. 42.
Moreover,
she became the second-lowest-ranked player to reach the Wimbledon final after
Serena Williams in 2018, who was ranked world No. 181. However, it was
Angelique Kerber who ultimately won that final.
After her
Wimbledon victory, Vondrousova revealed that she had even considered skipping
the grass-court season but displayed exceptional tennis to secure her first
Grand Slam title.
This
achievement propelled her into the top 10 rankings and made her one of the
favorites for the US Open.
In addition
to her remarkable tennis skills, Vondrousova has always stood out for the
numerous tattoos on her arms, a somewhat unconventional choice in the sport.
She has
mentioned that she's unsure how many tattoos she has, and after winning
Wimbledon, she announced that she would get new tattoos in honor of her first
Grand Slam victory.
During the
US Open Fan Week, Vondrousova took the time to sign autographs and pose for
photos with attendees. A Twitter user shared a "Tattoo Report,"
uploading a photo of the Czech player showcasing her new tattoos.
“Tattoo
Report: Wimbledon champ
Marketa Vondrousova did indeed get new ink following
her win.

2) The date
of the Wimbledon final with her coach”
With the
main draw of the tournament having been revealed just a few hours ago,
Vondrousova now knows her fate at the US Open. At least in part, as she will
face a player coming from the qualifying rounds in the first round.
As the 9th
seed, the Czech player is set to play against a qualifier in the opening round.
Should she progress, her second-round opponent will be either Martina Trevisan
or Yulia Putintseva.
Up to this
point, Vondrousova's best result at the US Open has been reaching the fourth
round, where she was defeated by Lesia Tsurenko.
