As
Wimbledon approaches, the women's doubles entry list has now been revealed, featuring several top names from the singles draw also included in the doubles main draw. Among them is 2025 singles finalist
Jasmine Paolini (No. 14), who reunites with her partner Sara Errani in search of their third Grand Slam title together.
She is not the only top-30 player in the draw, with a total of 11 top-30 singles players set for a double appearance at SW19. Among them is Sorana Cirstea , making her final
Wimbledon appearance, alongside Anna Kalinskaya.
Madrid Open champion Marta Kostyuk and recent Roland Garros finalist Maja Chwalinska will also be among the names who, as notable singles players, join the doubles main draw, marking a clear contrast with the men's event, where only four top-30 singles players will compete in the doubles main draw.
Could there be another player who wins both the singles and doubles titles? Barbora Krejcikova is a former Wimbledon champion in singles (2022) and doubles (2018, 2024), while
Elise Mertens has lifted the doubles trophy on two occasions (2021, 2025). Also joining the draw will be six-time doubles champions Venus and Serena Williams, who will have clear intentions of producing a surprise run in the tournament.
Paolini-Errani and Mertens lead packed women's doubles contenders
With the entry lists now confirmed by the Wimbledon organisers, several players will have double duty at Wimbledon, alternating between singles and doubles appearances throughout the tournament. On the women's side, several players could emerge as title contenders. Mertens will partner Shuai Zhang as the fourth seeds, while Paolini and Errani are the fifth seeds—both pairings having won Grand Slam titles in recent years.
Cirstea (No. 18) and Kalinskaya (No. 22) enter as the seventh seeds, although their seeding is more a reflection of strong doubles results, with doubles remaining secondary to their singles campaigns. Iva Jovic (No. 17) will partner Magda Linette, while Diana Shnaider (No. 25) will not team up with Mirra Andreeva this time—her former doubles partner, who will focus exclusively on singles on this occasion—and will instead play alongside McCartney Kessler.
Other top-30 names in the draw include Linda Noskova (No. 12), Marta Kostyuk (No. 15), Clara Tauson (No. 20), Maja Chwalinska (No. 21), and Anastasia Potapova (No. 28).
Other notable names include former Grand Slam champion Sofia Kenin alongside Jelena Ostapenko, the world No. 1 doubles pairing of Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend, and Alexandra Eala partnering Nikola Bartunkova.
Cerundolo brothers and Fonseca headline limited men's singles crossover
Among the men, Alexander Bublik (No. 11) and Nick Kyrgios sants out. Francisco Cerundolo (No. 27) will team up with his brother Juan Manuel Cerundolo (No. 45), remembered for his notable victory over Jannik Sinner at Roland Garros. The brothers have partnered on several occasions across multiple tournaments, including the Australian Open earlier this season.
Brazilian Joao Fonseca (No. 25) will also join compatriot Marcelo Zormann, while Argentine Tomas Etcheverry (No. 30) will partner Mariano Kestelboim and Luciano Darderi (No. 17) will team up with Uruguayan Ariel Behar.
Only four men's top-30 players will compete in the doubles draw—and just two top-20 player—compared to 11 women from the top 30 (including five top-20 players), with Linda Noskova (No. 12) being the highest-ranked among them.
