Caroline Wozniacki defeated Lauren Davis at the 2020 ASB Classic in Auckland to reach the quarterfinal in New Zealand.
Following the second victory in doubles at the ASB Classic, Wozniacki added also another victory in singles to reach quarterfinals in Auckland.
It is a farewell season for the Danish who announced that she will end her career after 2020 Australian Open. In New Zealand, Wozniacki was successful so far when she defeated Hourigan in singles and added 2 victories in doubles with Serena Williams.
Wozniacki's friend, Williams was also successful in singles today, when she advanced to quarterfinals. Caroline followed her when she defeated Lauren Davis 6-1, 4-6 and 6-4.
In the quarterfinals, she will meet the fifth-seeded Julia Goerges. Potentially, Wozniacki can meet Williams in the final at the ASB Classic.

Something he mentioned here is what many who have coached at any level can relate to -- "the crazy parents committee". It relates to my coaching experiences in kid's sports. My #1 complaint about coaching kids is Problem Parents!! It can be a very abusive, even violent situation with many parents when it comes to their kid's sports. In the end, it was no longer worth the potential (all too common) altercations for me and I quit.
