The Prize Money breakdown has been confirmed ahead of the 2024 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, which will take place between Sunday 18 February, 2024 – Saturday 24, January 2024. The tournament will feature nine top-10 players, following the withdrawal of Jessica Pegula.
The total prize pool for the tournament is $3,211,715, with the champion receiving a prize exceeding half a million dollars, totaling $523,485. The runner-up will claim $308,320, while semi-finalists are set to receive $158,944. Quarter-finalists will be awarded $72,965.
Last 16 losers receive $36,454 while for reaching the Last 32, it is $20,650. First round losers get $14,800.
The tournament will be led by the 2023 finalist Iga Swiatek as the first seed, followed by Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Elena Rybakina. The defending champion is Barbora Krejcikova (No. 12), who has been hovering around the top-10 in recent months and faces a crucial defense of points to maintain her position.
The confirmed absence of Pegula (No. 5) adds to the injured Madison Keys (No. 16). On the other hand, Petra Kvitova (No. 18) and Belinda Bencic (No. 43) are absent due to their pregnancies.
While not confirmed, there's a big possibility of the withdrawal of the world No. 10 Karolina Muchova, who has been experiencing wrist issues and had to withdraw from the Qatar Open.
