WTA Rankings Update: Kontaveit rises to 14 with no changes in top 10

After a week of entertaining WTA tennis, the top 10 remained largely unchanged having Barty lead the field in front of Sabalenka and Pliskova.
Not many of the top tennis players played last week as the majority of them are resting and preparing for the final tennis events in the year. Most are focusing on the WTA Finals with this week being the crucial one in determining which players will qualify. The top 10 remained the same, it's still Barty on top ahead of Sabalenka, Pliskova, Krejcikova, Muguruza, Svitolina, Sakkari and Jabeur.
Anett Kontaveit played an amazing event in Moscow winning the Kremlin Cup. That allowed her to jump 6 spots to number 14. The Estonian is firmly in the battle for Guadalajara but she will need to win the Transylvania Open to do so. Simona Halep and Emma Raducanu both moved up on the rankings with Simona now 18th and Emma 23rd.
Ann Li won her maiden trophy in Tenerife yesterday and that allowed the American to reach a career-high ranking of 48. Osorio Serrano played against Li in the final and she jumped to number 53 which is her new career-high.
