WTA Rankings Update: No changes in top 10 as Barty holds number one

As every Monday we bring you the WTA rankings with this week's rankings without a change in the top 10 as Barty holds number one for another week.

There has been a lot of tennis played on the WTA tour lately but some of the best in the world have stayed idle meaning so the new rankings on Monday, March 15th showed no changed at the top. Ashleigh Barty still holds number one as the world of tennis anticipates her return to tennis. Naomi Osaka and Simona Halep are firmly put at 2 and 3 respectively.

A strong title run for Muguruza allowed her to move 3 spots in the rankings to number 13. In the final, she defeated Krejcikova who is the biggest mover this week with the final run propelling her to number 38 which is 25 spots higher than her previous high. Sara Sorribes Tormo had an amazing run in Guadalajara winning the trophy and jumping 14 spots to number 58.

Both Potapova and Teichmann enjoyed good showing in Dubai which allowed them to jump up in the rankings. In total 7 players reached a new career high. Those 7 players are Pegula at 33, Gauff at 35, Krejcikova at 37, Teichmann at 39, Sorribes Tormo at 58, Juvan at 90, and Tuason at 95.
