"Your worst nightmare": Coco Gauff gets set for Halloween with Freddie Krueger costume

America’s young tennis sensation Coco Gauff shared pictures showing that she was all set to enjoy the upcoming Halloween festival.

The 19-year-old shared multiple pictures on her official Instagram account where she was dressed up in a costume to celebrate the upcoming event with the caption “Your worst nightmare.”

Gauff is often regarded as the best young player in the women’s singles category currently playing in the circuit.

She lived up to the hype during the recently concluded US Open where she defeated the current world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the final with a score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 to lift her maiden Grand Slam title.

That victory was an even more special one, considering how Gauff had a hard time at Wimbledon where she was knocked out from the first round after losing to Sofia Kenin with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

After her triumph in New York, the Atlanta-born participated in the China Open where she was eventually knocked out after losing the semifinal to the current world number two Poland’s Iga Swiatek in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-3.

Gauff will now take part in the WTA Finals event where she is in the group alongside Swiatek, Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur and Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousova
