Serbia’s legendary tennis star Novak Djokovic is set to return to action after a lengthy break following his triumph at the US Open.
The 36-year-old defeated the current world number three Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the final of the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year with a score of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3.
Djokovic, after that victory, will feature in the upcoming Paris Masters which is set to begin on Monday.
The current world number one will be eager to take the court, especially at a place where he has an incredible record where he has already lifted the title as many as six times already.
It is one of the seven competitions where Djokovic has lifted the title six times or more, an incredible feat to say the least.
The other competitions are the Australian Open, Wimbledon, ATP events in Miami, Rome, Beijing and the Finals.
Djokovic is often regarded as the greatest player in the history of men’s singles tennis in the Open era, having won as many as 24 Grand Slam titles in his illustrious career.
This year, other than winning the US Open, Djokovic also lifted two more Grand Slams — the Australian Open and the French Open.
