The 2021
Argentina Open in Buenos Aires will be the second ATP event held in Argentina after the Cordoba Open.
The Argentinians will look to secure the trophy in their home country once again, when it was not surprisingly the Argentinian who triumphed in Cordoba, however, the name was surprising. While everyone expected Diego Schwartzman to lift the trophy, it was 19-years-old Juan Manuel Cerundolo who came from qualifying to win his first ATP title.
And we'll see Cerundolo play also on Monday at the Argentina Open, however, not the one that became the surprising winner. It will be his older brother Francisco who will play the final of the qualifying against Agustin Velotti. 3 more qualifying matches will be played on Monday before the main draw action kicks-off.
Jaume Munar will take on
Daniel Altmaier, Lukas Klein will play against Ernesto Escobedo and Sumit Nagal will try to book his main draw spot against Nicolas Kicker. Then,
Marco Cecchinato will begin the main draw action against
Laslo Djere. We'll also see Pablo Andujar against Juan Ignacio Londero as
Thiago Monteiro and
Roberto Carballes Baena will finish-off the day.
