After the WTA visited Parma the ATP will do the same holding an event with the same name 'Emilia-Romagna Open'. It will run from May 23rd till May 29th featuring some of the best young and up and coming players. As an event held in the week prior to the Roland Garros, it will serve as good preparation for the upcoming Grand Slam.
The event is an ATP 250 event featuring an overall financial commitment of €541,800. It will be the first edition of the event so there is no defending champion. The top seed is Rome Master's semifinalist Lorenzo Sonego who is in top form on the red dirt and will look to win the trophy on native soil.
Other prominent players that will take part include Reilly Opelka, Lorenzo Musetti and Sebastian Korda. Musetti has been enjoying a breakout year while Korda broke out at the Roland Garros last year reaching the 4th round. Check out the full draw below.
