The BNP Paribas Open is entering its final stages with some excellent matches on the schedule that include Jabeur, Kerber and Dimitrov.
The BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells on Day Nine will feature a combined schedule of two early day ATP matches and two WTA matches in the night. It should prove a very interesting day despite some of the biggest names missing from the programme. Starting off at 20:00 CET we will get the first ATP quarterfinal with Cameron Norrie taking on Diego Schwartzman.
A lone QF appearance for both but a golden opportunity as well. Both played well and both have a chance. After that, we will see another interesting match between Dimitrov and Hurkacz. Dimitrov played his best match in a while to best Medvedev while Hurkacz has been a steady performer on North American hard courts for years having grown up on the surface.
On the WTA side of day nine's schedule, we will start off at midnight with Ons Jabeur taking on Anett Kontaveit. Both of these players have played amazing tennis so far after arriving red-hot to the desert. It's a nice clash of styles as well with Kontaveit a strong baseline hitter against a very healthy dose of variety that Jabeur employs.
After that, we will see the 2nd WTA quarterfinal with Paula Badosa and Angelique Kerber. Both performed well so far and both are able to play very well in the slow conditions of the night. Badosa will have plenty of time to prepare her devastating baseline play while Kerber will rely on her court coverage to counter-punch. Who prevails remains to be seen but either will have a good shot of going all the way.
