The 2021 Cordoba Open is a strong clay event held in Argentina from the 20th till the 28th of February with 250 ATP points as the prize.
The 2021 Cordoba open enters its final stages as the quarterfinals are upon us and they will be played on Friday, February 26th. Four amazing matches await us with the programme set to start at 18:30 CET. Kicking things off will be Monteiro who will play Cerundolo. Monteiro had a solid Australian Open and his form translated to clay where he will face the up and coming Cerundolo who is looking for his first ATP quarterfinal.
After them, we will see another Argentinian in Coria taking on Paire. The Frenchman returned to winning ways at Cordoba and he will be looking to extend that against Coria who is always tricky on clay. Another Argentinian will play later as Bagnis will take on Kovalik from Slovakia. Both enjoy playing on clay and they already played twice on this surface with Bagnis winning both matches. The number one seed and Argentinian number one Diego Schwartzman will close out the programme with a banger against Albert Ramos set to start at 00:00 CET.
They played each other five times with all of the matches coming on clay. Schwartzman won all of them without dropping a set so anything different than that would be quite a surprise.

On Thursday, finally, the main star of the 2021 Cordoba Open will play on the home soil. Diego Schwartzman is the first-seeded in Cordoba and also the biggest favourite to win the title, however, he'll face a difficult draw.
Before the Argentinian gets onto the court, we'll see 2 more matches. First, Thiago Monteiro will open the day against Roberto Carballes Baena and then Juan Manuel Cerundolo will take on Miomir Kecmanovic who recently added David Nalbandian to his coaching team.
After these two matches, Diego Schwartzman will play his opening match in Argentina. He will face a very difficult opponent as the former Roland Garros semifinalist, Marco Cecchinato will be on the other side of the net. In the last match of the day, Tomas Etcheverry will play against Albert Ramos.

The event continues on Wednesday with 4 matches on the schedule starting at 18:35 CET and running till the early hours of Thursday Central European Time. There will be an abundance of native Argentinian players such as Bagnis and Delbonis along with Benoit Paire playing today.
The programme kicks off at 18:35 with Barrios taking on Kovalik. Both players don't have many chances to go deep into this type of event so they will be looking to take advantage of this opportunity. It will continue with Coria vs Cerundolo with the Argentinian looking to impress the native fans with their play.
Another all-Argentinian clash will be between Bagnis and Delbonis which should give the native Argentina crowd a proper delight. The final match will be between Paire and Jarry. Paire is looking to get back to winning ways after a lot of struggle lately but Jarry is a former top 50 player who plays well on clay.
