The 2021 European Open Antwerp is back this year for the 6th edition of the event running from October 19th till October 24th.
The event was supposed a very strong one with a spectacular field of play but as an event coming off the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, it won't as strong as it should have been but still with a very strong field for an ATP 250 event. The 2021 edition will be the 6th time the vent is held and Ugo Humbert is the defending champion having won last year against De MInaur in the final.
The top seed is Jannik Sinner who has a 1st round BYE with Lorenzo Musetti potentially waiting in R2. The 2nd seed is Diego Schwartzman who also has a 1st round BYE but his 2nd round matchup will be very tough with either Andy Murray or Francis Tiafoe as his opponent. Murray, winner in 2019, once again did not get a great draw pulling Tiafoe who bested him a month ago in North America.
Other big names that will play this event include Roberto Bautista Agut who might face Marton Fucsovics in R2 and Reilly Opelka who might face Popyrin or Botic Van De Zandschulp in R2. The event promises to be a very good one with a lot of interesting matches and a field that includes 5 players ranked inside the top 20 which is fairly rare for an ATP 250 event. Check out the full draw below.
