2021 Wimbledon ATP final Preview: Djokovic vs Berrettini

128 players arrived in London to compete for the Wimbledon trophy and only two remained with either Djokovic or Berrettini to be crowned the champion. Matteo Berrettini has been the story of the event as the Italian reached the final without much buzz. He was playing great tennis and beating his opponents with ease.

Novak Djokovic did the same thing yet Djokovic has not displayed stunning tennis so far. He admitted to being very lucky against Shapovalov who could have won that match if he had been more composed. The players possess games that don't suit each other.

Djokovic has a great return and he will need it to counter Berrettini's immense first serve. The Italian does not do well with deep returns which Djokovic often plays and he struggled with it in their Roland Garros match. The experience is firmly on Djokovic's side with Berretini prone to show his nerves at times.

Either way, it should be a great match where Berrettini will have his chances. Djokovic is not looking as clinical as in Paris and Berrettini has the tools to make his life miserable. The Serbian leads the H2H 2-0 but they never played on grass.
