Draw released for Nordea Open Bastad including Ruud, Musetti and Fognini

The 2021 Nordea Open is Bastad brings tennis back to Sweden with a very strong lineup attending headlined by Casper Ruud, Lorenzo Musetti and Fabio Fognini.

The Nordea Open is an ATP 250 event held on clay in Sweden that will make several players happy to be back on the red dirt. The event will run from July 12th till July 18th and we will see Casper Ruud as the top seed. The Norwegian will be happy to be back on clay as he does not favour the grass at all.

He has a 1st round BYE with a potential 2nd round matchup vs Holger Rune. The Danish player has been a fabulous clay player in his young career slowly making his way to the top 10. A quarterfinal matchup vs Musetti is also on the table which is a mouth-watering prospect.

The 2nd seed is Christian Garin from Chile who had a solid Wimbledon considering his lack of love for the surface. Now he is back to his favoured clay and he will look to add another title to his name. Another big name that is playing is Fabio Fognini who has a pretty clear path towards the semifinal with the only notable name in his draw Ruusuvuori.
