The 2022 Croatia Open in Umag returns with an even better field this year headlined by rising superstar and defending champion
Carlos Alcaraz.
The Spaniard has had an unbeliavable year so far and it continued in Hamburg where he will play in the final on Sunday, July 24th. The Spaniard will then make his way to the place where it kind of all started for him. Last year, Alcaraz won his maiden trophy here and he'll be back to defend it.
As the top seed he will have a 1st round BYE which will be useful for him to recover following the long week in Hamburg. Round two could give him Delbonis or Vesely and the quarterfinal could see him play Altmaier. The 2nd seed is
Jannik Sinner, the man who beat Alcaraz at Wimbledon and round two for him could bring Munar or Mikael Ymer.
Sebastian Baez is also here and he might face Laslo Djere in round two which would be a very difficult match for both of them. Hamburg finalist Lorenzo Musetti will also be here and he will start off against Aljaz Bedene but it will be a short turnaround. Compatriot Fognini is also here and he'll face Daniel Galan.
Another young player in attendance is
Holger Rune and he will most likely face Zapata Mirallas in round two. Check out the full draw below.
