The ATP side of the
Indian Wells event is coming to its conclusion with the semifinals on the programme today and they will be great ones.
The first one will begin at 21:00 CET and it will be
Andrey Rublev against
Taylor Fritz. The Russian has played a superb event winning the majority of matches rather easily in straight sets. The Russian is on a 13-match winning streak and will be looking to make it 14 in a row against a player who has given him some trouble in the past.
Fritz defeated Rublev two times in their four matches before and the last came in Paris last year which Fritz won easily. There is something about the American and Indian Wells that suits his game and he will be dangerous however Rublev has been on fire so much so that anything but his win would seem like a big surprise.
After that match concludes we will get the best match of the day by far.
Carlos Alcaraz will face
Rafael Nadal in what promises to be a spectacular showdown between the compatriots. Both of them have active winning streaks with Nadal having a 19-match streak going into this match with Alcaraz having a 10-match winning streak.
The younger Spaniard has played more impressive so far this season but Nadal keeps grinding out wins the only way he can. Can he do it against Alcaraz who looks absolutely on fire right now remains to be seen but the match will be spectacular so don't miss it. If you do, we'll have a report for you ready to go.
