The 2022
Serbia Open returns in 2022 with
Novak Djokovic once again leading a very strong field consisting of fellow pros Rublev, Karatsev and Khachanov.
The tennis event in the Serbian capital returned a few years ago to the calender after very hard work by the Djokovic family. The tournament director is the brother of Novak Djokovic and they invested a lot of money into the facilities that have been widely praised by many players. The popularity of the event is rising since its return and another strong field is a testament to that.
Novak Djokovic will once again play at the event after doing so twice last year. Last year we had two ATP events in Belgrade with Matteo Berrettini winning this one and Djokovic winning the other one in May. The Italian won't be returning this year as he continues to rehab following a wrist injury and surgery.
Besides Djokovic, we will see
Dominic Thiem in action as he will play John Millman. Fabio Fognin iwill take on compatriot Marco Cecchinato. Another interesting first-round matchup is between Cristian Garin and Holger Rune while Rublev, Khachanov and Karatsev all have first-round BYEs. Check out the full draw below.
