2023 Australian Open top seed Carlos Alcaraz won't play a single official match before tournament begins

After deciding against playing firstly in the United Cup which will see Rafael Nadal and Paula Badosa anchor Spanish hopes, World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz who suffered an abdominal tear in Paris will not play a single official match before the Australian Open in 2023.
Alcaraz will begin his preseason at the Equelite Academy on Monday, November 28 in information supplied by Marca. His first trip will be to Abu Dhabi where he will play in an exhibition on December 17 alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Frances Tiafoe and Cameron Norrie. 
He will then return to Spain and remain there until January 8 before flying to Kooyong to face Marin Cilic and Alex De Minaur albeit four days before the tournament starts on January 16-29.
