The road to the
US Open will see stars of the
ATP stop in Washington, United States for the
DC Open, which is scheduled to run this summer from July 29-August 4, 2024.
An ATP 500 event, the DC Open will feature a 48-player singles field and doubles draw open to 16 teams. Furthermore, the hard court event will be held in collaboration with the WTA, with both tournaments running concurrently.
DC Open to showcase top talent
Several top ATP stars have been confirmed to participate at the tournament, which the fourth-longest running pro tennis event in the U.S. Former World No.3
Grigor Dimitrov will be leading the field, and the Bulgarian veteran will be joined by a host of Americans including Ben Shelton,
Frances Tiafoe and Sebastian Korda.
The DC Open will offer a total
prize money pool of $2,100,230, a hefty amount based on the talent competing at the event. The champion will walk away with $368,585 and 500 ranking points, which could be pivotal in the race to the US Open. Below is the full breakdown.
