The 2025
Davis Cup Draw has been completed with eight qualifiers set to join Italy in the Finals next year in Bologna in November 2025 with the initial ties set.
The first round will take place between 31 January - 2 February 2025. Twenty six teams will play for thirteen spots in the qualifiers second round. The twenty six teams are 14 teams ranked 2nd-16th in the 2024 Finals excluding the host nation for the Final 8.
As well as 12 winning teams from the 2024 World Group I. The 13 winning teams will play at the qualifiers second round and the 13 losing teams will play at the World Group I.
Australia after losing in the final are second seeds. As well as them, Canada, Germany, United States, Serbia and Great Britain are part of the top thirteen.
This is likely including the likes of Alex de Minaur, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Novak Djokovic, Jack Draper among others. Spain also if Carlos Alcaraz wants to play and the first tournament also not including Rafael Nadal. They will face the likes of Chile, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, Sweden, Japan and last of all Norway who are 31st seed.
It moves onto the second round played between 12-14 September 2025. Fourteen teams will play for seven spots in the final eight in series decided on a home and away basis. The runners-up of the 2024 Davis Cup who were Netherlands and 13 winners of the Qualifiers First Round held in January-February 2025. The seven winning teams will play in the Final Eight alongside the host nation.
