In a new edition of Daily Dose of Social Media, the off-season continues for the biggest ATP and WTA stars, who are still enjoying the scarce free time allowed by the busy calendar. Carlos Alcaraz is enjoying his days in Miami while preparing for an exhibition. The Spaniard took to the field for the trophy ceremony after Inter Miami's latest match, handing the championship trophy to none other than Lionel Messi.
On the other hand, Victoria Azarenka was spotted in Argentina at the Boca Juniors vs. Argentinos Juniors match, where she received a gift jersey from club president Juan Román Riquelme. Finally, Taylor Fritz and Madison Keys shared some snapshots of their vacation days as they await their return to the courts in 2026.

Alcaraz honors Messi in Miami

Carlos Alcaraz was present this Saturday in Florida, United States. At Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, the number one was in attendance for Inter Miami's 5-1 victory over New York City and was in charge of presenting the MLS Eastern Conference champion trophy to the local team's captain, Lionel Messi. Furthermore, the 6-time major champion did not leave empty-handed. Inter Miami gifted him a home team jersey with the number 99 on the back and the name "Carlitos," which will surely go to the Murcian's trophy cabinet.
All this is happening in the middle of the off-season, where the World No. 1 is in Miami preparing for the exhibition tour he will have during the coming week. First, he will play in New Jersey (December 7) against Frances Tiafoe and then will travel back to Miami to compete on December 8 against Joao Fonseca. The 22-year-old star finished the season at the top of the ranking and with 8 titles – including two Grand Slams – with a 71-9 record and over 18 million dollars in prize money.

Azarenka visits La Bombonera

The duel between Boca Juniors and Argentinos Juniors, corresponding to the quarterfinals of the Torneo Clausura, had a special spectator: Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka was present at the Bombonera and caused a sensation. Then, shortly before the end, the tennis player could be seen receiving a blue and gold jersey from the hands of Juan Román Riquelme, the club's president. Additionally, they posed together for a photo.
This is not the first time the tennis player has shown a connection with Argentina. In March, the former women's number one shared an image on her social media that went around the world showing her drinking mate, a traditional South American beverage.
The former World No. 1 had a season marked by injuries and inconsistency, in which she only played one tournament since her appearance at Wimbledon back in July. She last took the court in the US Open third round, where she fell to Jessica Pegula. She finished the year as World No. 133 and with an 11-12 record, far from the headlines.

Fritz enjoys off-season in Japan

Taylor Fritz has enjoyed his off-season time to the fullest, with a vacation in Japan over the last few weeks. The American No. 1 shared a series of photos this Sunday of his days in Osaka, Japan – a few days after having shown himself strolling through the capital, Tokyo. The World No. 6 finished the season at the ATP Finals in mid-November, being eliminated in the Round Robin stage with a win against Musetti and losses to Alcaraz and De Minaur.
Despite defending a good amount of points at the ATP Finals – as the runner-up in 2024 – the American can celebrate another successful season, in which he won two titles (Stuttgart, Eastbourne), reached the final at the Tokyo Open, and reached the semifinals at tournaments like Wimbledon, the Miami Open, and the Canadian Open.

Muguruza enjoys retirement in Geneva

Former World No. 1 Garbiñe Muguruza is enjoying her vacation time, following the busy days she had in Riyadh as the director of the WTA Finals. The 2-time Grand Slam champion is back to enjoying her retirement time, and shared some photos walking with her husband through Geneva in the middle of the European winter, where she also took a photo attending an event by British comedian Ricky Gervais.
The Spaniard ended her career in 2024 at 30 years old, closing a notable career in which she obtained 10 titles – including two majors and three WTA 1000s – in addition to reaching another 7 finals. Since then, Muguruza has stayed close to the tennis world, serving as director of the WTA Finals in Riyadh for the last couple of years and working as a commentator and interviewer for Tennis Channel.

Keys enjoys "staycation" in Orlando

Madison Keys shared some photos on social media of her off-season, enjoying some downtime at her home in Orlando, Florida. While a good portion of tennis players take advantage of the short off-season to vacation and travel in their free time, the 31-year-old American has opted to stay at her residence, from where she shared some relaxed photos with her fans.
The World No. 7 concluded the best season of her career with a disappointing result at the WTA Finals, where she competed in the Round Robin but lost her matches against Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova. Already mathematically eliminated, she withdrew from the tournament due to physical issues and did not play the third match against Elena Rybakina – giving Russian player Ekaterina Alexandrova the opportunity to take the court in her place.
