2023 #MiamiOpen projected QFs if seeds hold: (1) Alcaraz vs Rune (7) (3) Ruud v Rublev (6) (8) Hurkacz v Medvedev (4) (5) Auger-Aliassime vs Tsitsipas (2)
The 2023 Miami Open is set to kick off this week, with the in-form Carlos Alcaraz hoping to successfully defend the title ho won last year.
Alcaraz will face some tough competition along the way, and could be in for a tough battle should he reach the quarterfinals where he is seeded to face rising Danish star Holger rune.
Second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas has had a disappointing season, and could be in for a tough battle should he reach the final eight. The Greek star could face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, who has been having a very productive year and is always considered a threat.
Norwegian Casper Ruud is seeded third at the event, and could battle Russian Andrey Rublev should both men make it to the quarterfinals.
The final quarterfinal matchup could feature fourth seed Daniil Medvedev take on big-hitting Pole Hubert Hurkacz. Despite finishing runner-up at Indian Wells, Medvedev is still the man to beat this season, having won 19 consecutive matches prior to his defeat to Alcaraz in Indian Wells last week.
