Carlos Alcaraz will play the final of the Queen's Club Championships against Alex De Miñaur after beating Sebastian Korda in a match that the Spaniard controlled at all times. The World No. 2 defeated the American in two sets: 6-3, 6-4.
The first set began with a declaration of intent by both players. Korda broke Alcaraz's serve early on, and the Spaniard returned it in the next game to make it 1-1. From then on, although both had several chances to break, the match was evenly matched until 4-3 in favour of the world number 2. Alcaraz got his second break of the match to get 5-3 and serve to take the set, and how could it be otherwise the Spaniard would not fail and materialized with a 6-3.
Up to that point, Korda had tried to hurt Alcaraz through his serve. Although he hit five aces, he also accumulated four double faults and was very vulnerable on his second serve, winning just 29% of them (4/14). Although Alcaraz did not play well with his second serve either (25%, 2/8 won) he compensated with 82% of his first serves won (18/22).
In the second set, Carlos Alcaraz took an early lead when he managed to break Sebastian Korda at 1-1, and from there he held the advantage until 5-4, where he served for the win and closed out the match and his qualification for the final with a 6-4 win.
In the other semi-final, Alex De Miñaur defeated Holger Rune in two sets (6-3, 7-6(2)), just before the clash between Alcaraz and Korda.

What a performance. Playing his first grass tournament outside of Wimbledon, Carlos Alcaraz... is into the final, after easily beating Sebi Korda 6-3, 6-4. By far the best match he ever played on this surface. 6th final of the year in 9 tournaments played 39-4 W-L Ridiculous
