Carlos Alcaraz has signed up to play an exhibition event against Jannik Sinner in Mexico during the tennis offseason late in the year.
It's unclear when the event will take place at this time but it's going to be played sometime in the offseason. That means likely late November or early December and it's going to be similar to the one Nadal and Ruud played before this year. That affected Ruud quite a bit as the Norwegian is having his worst start to the year ever.
It's a risky move but it will only be one event in Mexico as opposed to a two-week tour across several countries. It comes as the rivalry between Alcaraz and Sinner keeps growing. The latest chapter came at the Miami Open with Sinner coming out on top and most of their matches have been must-see TV.
This will be one of several such exhibitions held in Mexico with previous matches including Nadal - Ruud, Kyrgios - Norrie and Medvedev - Rublev.
