It was a tight match and a long match and it was won by
Alex de Minaur who won the first point for Team World by beating Murray 5-7 6-3 10-7.
Andy Murray was not favoured to win this match but he certainly produced a strong enough effort to make this one a very close match. The opening set started badly for Murray as he dropped his serve in the first game of the match.
Murray broke back not long after making it 3-3 and continued playing really well against de Minaur who failed to keep up a very good rhythm. There was a lot of up-and-down moments for him in this match and it was particularly bad when he dropped his serve at 6-5 to lose the set 5-7.
De Minaur played a lot better in the second set and he jumped out to an early lead and he held it even adding another one to close out the set 6-3. The final set was another close one as it was the match tiebreak. De Minaur was up for the most of it but Murray was able to pull back the mini-break a few times making things interesting.
In the end the Australian was simply a bit sharper and won some crucial rallies that could ahve gone either way 10-7.
