Andy Murray and Jammie Murray have taken part in the Battle of the Brits event in the past and they will do so once more.
The Scottish brothers have played in the event before but this event will be held in Aberdeen next month with the Murray's having a chance to play in front of Scottish fans. Andy and Jamie will feature at the star-studded event, which is being held at the P&J Live Arena on Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 December.
The match is the brainchild of Jamie, who helped organize several 'Battle of the Brits' events during the pandemic which gave valuable practice to home players at times when tours were suspended. On the event Jamie Murray said:
“I am super excited to bring live tennis to Scotland. Andy and I have had some incredible experiences competing as part of Team GB in the Davis Cup in Scotland but to be able to represent Scotland is such a unique opportunity for us, especially against England."
He further said:
“We want to build on the interest and legacy that Andy and to a lesser extent myself have created for tennis in Scotland and we want to give the Scottish people a great night out after what’s been a really difficult time for everyone."
