A number of music and sports stars have donated signed memorabilia to the Love All charity auction, a charity set up to honor the late Elena Baltacha.
A former British No.1, Baltacha was diagnosed with liver cancer in January 2014 before passing away at the age of 30 on May 4, 2014. The Love All charity auction was set up to support various charities, including the Elena Batcha Foundation, which was created to honor the fallen tennis star.
Andy Murray, Jaime Murray and
Emma Raducanu were among the Brits to donate items, while
Naomi Osaka,
Coco Gauff and Lleyton Hewitt also donated signed rackets and shoes. All proceeds from the celebrity donated items will go to the various causes, with the Elena Baltacha Foundation centered around introducing tennis to disadvantaged kids in Baltacha's hometown of Ipswich.
"The generosity and widespread support is truly overwhelming." said Judy Murray. "It is so wonderful to see the tennis community uniting in the spirit of Love All in memory of Bally and all those around the world whose lives have been shattered by this terrible disease.
"The auction will not only support vital cancer research, screening and care, but will also continue Elena legacy's by introducing the sport she loved to those who might not otherwise have the chance to play. "
