Andy Murray was asked by a Scottish man for help after a local tennis club where his daughter used to play turned to rubble.
Allan Kay tweeted a picture of his 8-year old daughter, Matilda, holding a tennis racquet and ball in front of their local tennis court. The court has seen much better days and that's putting it lightly. The man tagged Andy Murray, Judy Murray and
Jamie Murray writing:
"Hi can you please help? This is our tennis courts in East Kilbride our council can’t help. It’s been left to ruin and left full of bins now and kids have nowhere to play tennis apart from paying a club membership at a private club."
The message was a sympathetic one by a father who simply wants to see his daughter play tennis where she used to. Murray quickly responded to the Tweet writing 'shambles' and tagging Tennis Scotland.
Murray called out of the governing body of tennis in Scotland for the issue wanting them to react. It's not yet clear whether anything will become of it as Tennis Scotland has not commented yet on the matter. Judy Murray offered help as well letting the man in question know whom to contact directly for this issue.
