A couple of notable players received wild card entries into the
Winston-Salem Open next week and chief among them is Andy Murray.
Murray wants to play a lot of competitive tennis in order to finetune his game and body in preparation for the US Open. The British player had a solid outing last year and his form recently has been getting better. He will get a chance to compete some more at the Winston-Salem Open next week as he accepted a wild card entry into the main draw.
Murray is not the only player that has received a wild card entry as several other notable ones have. Fellow Brit
Dan Evans also accepted a wild card entry into the event.
David Goffin is another player looking for playing time. The Belgian is coming back from an injury he sustained at the Halle Open.
Olympic medallist (bronze)
Pablo Carreno Busta will also compete at the event next week after accepting another wild card entry rounding out the very high-profile wild card field.
