The
Winston-Salem Open is an ATP 250 event held right before the
US Open, as it is the last men's tournament of the US Open series leading up to the final Grand Slam of the year.
Hosted at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, it has seen various players lift the trophy, with American
John Isner winning the inaugural event in 2011.
Hubert Hurkacz prevailed in the most recent edition in 2019, with the event being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
This year's edition will feature a variety of ATP stars, with recently revealed wildcards
Dan Evans,
Andy Murray and
Pablo Carreno Busta set to headline the tournament alongside
Marin Cilic,
Marton Fucsovics and Nick Kyrgios.
The tournament will be held from August 22-28, 2021 and will feature a 48-man singles draw and a 16-player doubles tournament.
