Andy Murray is in the Surbiton challenger semifinal after beating
Brandon Nakashima in a tight match 6-4 7-6(1).
Murray continued his solid play on the grass by playing another match where he demonstrated a high comfort level on the surface. Murray was not that much better than Nakashima but he certainly proved more comfortable on the surface winning all the crucial rallies to win the match. The match was a shaky one by both players early as both Murray and Nakashima had to save early set points.
Eventually, Murray found another opening and he took it for the 5-3 lead. He finished off the first set with 6-4 simply by being more consistent. The Brit played some of the crucial rallies better and committed fever errors to win the opening set. The 2nd set was a typical grass-court one.
Neither played had any break points and both dominated on their own serves. In the tiebreak, it was Murray who once again proved more comfortable playing the crucial rallies better. He finished it off with 7-1 to move on to the semifinal.
