Rafael Nadal is facing off against Alexander Zverev this afternoon and struggled throughout the opening set but came up with the goods when it mattered most.
He exploded at the business end of the set to break back and seal the tie-break to seal early authority but at 6-4 down and under the cosh, this was in true evidence as he faced two set points.
As Simon Reed on commentary for Eurosport dubbed 'it seemed impossible to win that point' but he did in an outrageous winner.
"Zverev hammered it into the corner and still it wasn’t enough. He can’t blame himself for that [not winning the point].”
Miles Maclagan added: “On a couple of occasions, look where he [Nadal] is retrieving from. Some courts aren’t big enough to cover that sort of ground!"
