Andy Murray hopeful of competing at Tokyo Olympics

Andy Murray has had a lot of success at the Olympics winning it twice and he is hopeful to compete at the 2020 Olympics.

Andy Murray named the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as one of his priorities for 2021 as he wants to compete at the event. Murray earlier said that he could still compete at the highest level if his fitness and health improves. A third medal at the Olympics would be his wish. He said: "It will be very important. Obviously as of right now, I wouldn’t get into the Olympics so I would have to ask for a wildcard, which I know there’s a few people out there that think I shouldn’t be getting any more."

Despite that Murray is eager to see what will happen. He knows an opportunity would be huge for him and he would use it in the proper way:

"I’ll have to wait and see what happens with that but I would love to compete in the Olympics again, to get another opportunity to do that would be huge for me.

To conclude the interview with Metro UK he confirmed that competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is one of his tennis priorities for the next year:

"It would be in the top few priorities for the year.
