The 2021 Mubadala World Tennis Championship will feature a star-studded lineup and the final player confirmed for the event is
Andy Murray.
The Brit joins a stellar cast of players that will compete at the event from December 16th until the 18th ahead of the 2022 season. Players traditionally seek out warmer climates in order to prepare for the 2022 season and the Persian Gulf is a favored location. Exhibition events such as the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi are perfect to prepare for the Australian Open.
After being confirmed at the event Murray said:
“I’ve got many happy memories of Abu Dhabi and I’m looking forward to returning. With Emma (Raducanu) also playing on day one, we will be flying the flag for British tennis and looking to put on a strong display."
Raducanu herself commented on her own participation with:
“I’ve never been to Abu Dhabi and can’t wait to go and play in the championship. I know the UAE is celebrating its 50th anniversary at the beginning of December, so I’m sure it’s going to be amazing there and I’m excited to experience everything the country has to offer both at the event and culturally."
