Anna Kalinskaya was playing really good tennis at the Rome Open however it didn't end well for her as she got injured on a slide having to pull out of the event.
It looked like a bad injury because she stretched out quite a bit on that slide and the sheer fact that she couldn't continue the match basically signalled it's not something good. The Russian has been dealing with injuries on and off for much of her career and the timing couldn't have been any worse with Roland Garros and the grass season coming up.

Roland Garros Withdrawal

The withdrawal from Rome at the time didn't seem like a major issue for Kalinskaya because most of the worry was concentrated on her possibly missing Roland Garros. That has now come true as the Russian withdrew from the event on the day that it was supposed to take place. She posted an update on social media confirming that she will be out for a couple of weeks.
"Hello everyone, unfortunately, my MRI exam after the match in Rome didn't come back very positive. I will need to stay away from the court for a couple of weeks. Very frustrating. Hope to see you all soon."

Wimbledon in Question

She didn't say anything about Wimbledon but a couple of weeks certainly is up to speculation. She might miss the event but the hope is that she can recover in time for the Grand Slams. Grass is a surface she can play well and has done in the past so fans will be hoping to see her back at the event there.
Just a very unfortunate development for the Russian.
