The
draw for the 2023
Winston-Salem Open has been confirmed,
including some notable players. The tournament will be played from August 20 to
26 in North Carolina, United States.
Croatia’s
Borna Coric has been given a pass to the second
round where he will face the winner of the match between q qualifying player
and Australia’s Rinky Hijikata.
Similarly, Netherland’s
Tallon Griekspoor and America’s Sebastian
Korda have also been given a pass to the second round.
Griekspoor will face the winner of the match between Portugal’s
Nuno Borges and Britain’s Jack Draper whereas Korda will face one out of the French
duo of Alexandre Muller and Benjamin Bonzi.
Another big-name player — Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann has also
been given a pass to the round of 32 where his opponent will be the winner of
the tie between Russia’s Roman Safiullin and Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
The former world number three and the 2020 US Open winner
Dominic Thiem will face France’s Arthur Rinderknech in the round of 64.
